Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this Web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site.
- Shipping & Delivery
Honey Hive Farms delivers package bees on our routes. The places we stop to deliver are NOT the places selling the bees. Lowes and Home Depot, etc. do not sell the bees..........we do.
DELIVERY DAY / TIMES: After you order we will email you around two weeks out to let you know the day and the time we will be there to deliver. There is not a reason to email or call us, it just slows us down to update you and the others waiting.
TIME TO SHOW UP: Please, please be there early (early being 30 min plus) Example, if we say we are going to be there at 5 pm, try being there at 4.15 pm, NOT 5.01 pm !! We can not set on a parking lot with live bees in a trailer waiting on you to show up. Most of our customers understand this and we have very little problems. YES, We may be late, please understand there could be road work or a wreck, etc. We do our very best to meet you at the time set in advance.
GOOD PHONE NUMBER: A good phone number would be your cell phone or a way to get a hold of you the day of delivery an hour or two before we deliver. It does NO GOOD to give us only your home phone number, think about it. IF we are running early we need to let you know, again we can not set on a parking lot with live bees for very long.
REFUNDS: Just because you are late does not give you the right to receive a refund. We are delivering live merchandise to you and they will die over time if you do not pick them up. Also note we have been working on your order months before we deliver and if you chose not to show up, we have lost all that time and money, etc.
DEAD QUEENS IN PACKAGES: If you order bee packages and you receive a package with a dead queen we ONLY REFUND the cost of a queen that is or was posted for that season on our website. Example for 2017 the queens are $35, this is what we will refund, NOT the entire cost of the package of bees. We have no way of knowing if the queen was alive at pick up and or there was something that was done after the customer picked the package up. This is a chance you will have to take with live merchandise by purchasing with us. We do all we can to make sure the queens are alive at the time of installation. Note: We get less than 10 complaints of dead queens a year out of 1000 packages.
YOU AGREE: By ordering you are agreeing that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions. If we so chose to refund your funds as we were able to sell the bees to another customer, there will be a 4% fee for credit card fees. Also note if we do decide to refund a check it could take up to 30 days for you to receive a refund.
- Sales Tax
(We do not ship bees or queens)
Honey Hive Farms charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.
At this time, Honey Hive Farms ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. - Return Policy
PLEASE do not order if you are not sure. Bees and honey take time and planning to get ready, months out. The paperwork, time, accounting, loss of business and credit card fees are a huge loss to us.
IF we do decide to take the time to refund your money and send a check, there is a $25 restocking fee per item ordered. UNDERSTAND ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU ORDER. This is a business not a hobby, this is how we take care of our customers and pay our bill, etc.
READ: Please know up front, I do not need to hear about your vactation plans, work issues or times you can and can not get off, your families birthday party, church, etc, etc.. I am here to deliver your bees and bulk honey. We do the best we can to pick a day and time that works best for the bees and the weather, etc. It is impossible to work around 1000 + customers problems in a two week delivery window for the year. We can only hope you understand.
Package bees and honey are items many customers do want and if you order them and change your mind others may miss a chance on ordering.
